Hi, I'm Tyler
I’m a college student at Appalachian State University, where I’m majoring in Risk Management and Insurance and minoring in Political Science with a Pre-Law focus. What excites me most is finding the intersection of strategy, service, and impact — work that challenges me to think critically, help people, and leave a positive mark. I’m not just chasing a career path, I’m building a foundation for the kind of leader I want to become.
My Story
Hi, I’m Tyler. I’m a student at Appalachian State, majoring in Risk Management and Insurance with a Pre-Law focus. What drives me is simple: I love solving problems and making life a little easier for the people around me — whether that’s helping a business manage risk or pitching in on a community project.
Over the past few years, I’ve realized that leadership isn’t about titles or recognition. It’s about showing up, staying consistent, and doing the right thing even when it’s not easy. I’ve seen that play out in my work at the campus recreation center — starting at the front desk, moving into operations, and now stepping into a supervisor role. Each stage taught me something new about teamwork, responsibility, and integrity.
Outside of school and work, I do my best to keep life balanced. You’ll often find me at the gym, rock climbing, digging through crates of vintage records, or thrifting for unique finds. I’m also big on family time and spending as much of it outdoors as possible.
To me, success isn’t just about the end goal. It’s about the process, the growth, and the kind of person you become along the way.
