Hi, I'm Tyler
Hi, I’m Tyler. I’m a student at Appalachian State University pursuing a dual degree in Risk Management and Insurance and Finance. I’m interested in how businesses make decisions, manage risk, and solve problems.
I like taking on responsibility and being someone people can count on. Right now, I’m focused on learning as much as I can, getting real experience, and figuring out where I want to take my career.
My Story
I’ve learned a lot just by saying yes to opportunities and taking on more responsibility when it comes my way.
At App State University Recreation, I started at the front desk, moved into operations, and now work as a supervisor. Going through each of those roles has taught me how to work with different people, handle problems as they come up, and be someone others can rely on.
Outside of school and work, I like staying active. I spend a lot of time weightlifting and rock climbing, and I also enjoy fishing, traveling, finding old records, and checking out thrift stores.
I’m still figuring out exactly where my career will take me, but I know I want to keep learning, work with good people, and take advantage of opportunities that challenge me.
