Hi, I'm Tyler
Hi, I’m Tyler. I’m a student at Appalachian State University pursuing a dual degree in Risk Management and Insurance and Finance. I’m interested in how businesses make decisions, manage risk, and operate in real-world situations.
I enjoy solving problems, thinking through challenges, and being someone people can rely on. Right now, I’m focused on learning as much as I can, gaining real experience, and building a strong foundation for my future.
My Story
Leadership, to me, is not about titles. It is built through consistency, accountability, and doing the right thing when it is not easy.
I’ve seen that play out through my experience at the campus recreation center, where I started at the front desk, moved into operations, and now serve in a supervisor role. Each step has taught me something different about teamwork, responsibility, and earning trust.
Outside of school and work, I try to keep life balanced. You’ll usually find me at the gym, rock climbing, digging through vintage records, or thrifting for something unique. I’m also big on spending time with family and getting outside whenever I can.
To me, success isn’t just about where you end up. It’s about how you get there and the kind of person you become along the way.
